Here we want to show you how you can manage your email-accounts, forwards, mailing lists and autoresponders by making use of the admin-webinterface of zeitform which you find at http://mailadmin.zeitform.de resp. at http://mailadmin.Your-Domain.de.

  1. Insert the address of your admin-webinterface into your browser (http://mailadmin.Your-Domain.de). You will (optionally) be forwarded to a page secured by SSL. Please note that your browser might complain about an unknown certificate. You can ignore this message since your connection to our server will be encrypted in any case.
    Notice: The interface languages depends on your browser's language settings. If your language is unknown, the menus will be presented in English.
  2. Insert your account data (see image) and click on "Login".

  3. After the login you will see the main menu from which you can take all the following actions.

Create an Email-Account

An account is an email-address with a POP3-Account. This email-address has to be used as username in the mail client of your choice (together with the defined password).

Click the link "New Email Account". On the following page please insert the name of the new account and the assigned password (twice) for this account. Optionally you can insert a descriptive name (e.g. pre- and surname of the account holder). If applicable assign the new account to various mailing lists and click "Add". A status message will report on success or failure.

Delete an Email-Account

To delete a POP3-account click the link "Email Accounts". On the following page look for the appropriate POP3-account (by taking advantage of the alphabetical register) and click the button "Delete Account" (the middle button). For security reasons you will be asked if you know what you are doing and a status message will report on success or failure.

Edit an Email-Account

To edit a POP3-account click the link "Email Accounts". On the following page look for the appropriate POP3-account (by taking advantage of the alphabetical register) and click the button "Modify User" (the left button). On the next page you can assign a new password or a forwarder to this account or activate a vacation message (messages will be stored but automatically answered). Click on "Modify User". A status message will report on success or failure.

Warning: The effect of the button "CatchAll Account" is, that all incoming mail which cannot be assigned to an appropriate account will be delivered to this user. You only should use this button if you are absolutely sure of what you are doing since we configured the mail systems to fill all your needs. Possibly problems can derive if special functions (e.g. server side message-filtering etc.) are invoked. Please contact us if you are in doubt.

Notice on deactivating the "CatchAll Account": If you disable the "CatchAll Account", please ensure that the following E-Mail addresses exist for your domain:

Create a Forwarder

A forwarder is an email-address where incoming mail is forwarded to another email-account (this may even be an external one).

Click the link "New Forward". On the following page insert the target address as well as the name of the forwarder account. Click "Add". A status message will report on success or failure.

Delete a Forwarder

To delete a forwarder click the link "Forwards". On the following page look for the appropriate forwarder and click the button "Delete" (the left button). A status message will report on success or failure.

Edit a Forwarder

To edit a forwarder click the link "Forwards". On the following page look for the appropriate forwarder and click the button "Modify" (the right button). On the next page you can add other target addresses to the forwarder. Click "Add". A status message will report on success or failure.

Create an Autoresponder

An autoresponder is an account (with its own email-address) which does two things: first it sends a user defined answer to every incoming mail, second it forwards incoming messages to a different account.

Click the link "New Mail Robot". On the following page insert the name of the autoresponder (its email-address), the email-address incoming messages should be forwarded to, the subject and the message of the answers to send. Click "Add". A status message will report on success or failure.

Delete an Autoresponder

To delete an autoresponder click the link "Mail Robots". On the following page look for the appropriate autoresponder and click the button "Delete" (the left button). A status message will report on success or failure.

Edit an Autoresponder

To edit an autoresponder click the link "Mail Robots". On the following page look for the appropriate autoresponder and click the button "Modify" (the right button). On the next page you can edit the autoresponder (see Create an Autoresponder). Click "Add". A status message will report on success or failure.

Create a Mailing List

Mailing lists distribute incoming mail to all registered users. Since our mailing lists are highly configurable please contact us, if you need special functionality. Simple mailing list can be crated as followed:

Click the link "New Mailing List". On the following page insert the name of the mailing list (its email-address), the address of the list's administrator and a prefix that is added to every message's subject. For most mailing lists you can use the preselected options. Click "Add". A status message will report on success or failure.

Delete a Mailing List

To delete a mailing list click the link "Mailing Lists". On the following page look for the appropriate mailing list and click the button "Delete" (the left button). A status message will report on success or failure.

Edit a Mailing List: Add a User

To add users to a mailing list click the link "Mailing Lists". On the following page look for the appropriate mailing list and click the button "Add Subscriber". On the next page insert the email address of the new user and click the button "Add". A status message will report on success or failure. By clicking the button "Show Subscribers" you will reveice a list of all recipients of this mailing list.

Edit a Mailing List: Delete a User

To delete users from a mailing list click the link "Mailing Lists". On the following page look for the appropriate mailing list and click the button "Delete Subscriber". On the next page insert the email-address of the user you want to delete and click the button "Delete". A status message will report on success or failure. Alternatively you could click the button "Show Subscribers" to see a list of all recipients, find the user you want to delete and click the button "Delete".
